Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment may help those looking to reduce the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks.

It’s also used in certain anti-aging procedures, such as eyelid surgery and sunspots. Microneedling isn’t effective for hair loss, despite the possible role of collagen in hair growth.

LED, or light-emitting diode therapy, is a skincare treatment that uses varying wavelengths of light, including red and blue.

NASA originally developed it for plant growth experiments on shuttle missions and later found it to have promise for wound treatment. LED light therapy is now used by some aestheticians to help regenerate the skin from aging. It’s also used for acne.

Your healthcare provider uses red or blue light frequencies based on the skincare concern. Red is primarily used for anti-aging, while blue is used for acne treatment

The Swich Is an Effective Alternative to Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is practiced by skin care professionals and physicians to improve the appearance of damaged and aging skin. This method relies on the skin's ability to repair itself after injury. A chemical peel burns off the surface of the skin causing an injury, which turns on the body's repair process.

Why is this good?

When the repair process kicks in, our body pushes new and healthy cells to the surface and our collagen and elastin production increases in order to "heal the injury."

Consistent damage to the epidermis, however, may lead to more serious side effects, cause free radicals, and eventually do more harm than good. With the Switch, it is possible to trigger that repair system without significant injury to the epidermis.
